48th Annual Holiday Open House

High Point Museum - LogoHIGH POINT, NC (November 23, 2020) The High Point Museum invites the community to begin their holiday season by visiting the Museum for its 48th Annual Holiday Open House Sunday, Dec. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. This year, due to the pandemic and safety guidelines, participants must register and each person must have an individual ticket to attend. Spaces are limited.

“With all the changes and uncertainty that have come with 2020, we’re glad to be able to continue the tradition of our Holiday Open House this year,” Edith Brady, Museum Director, said. “It will operate a little differently to keep everyone safe, but we’ve tried to keep as many of the popular elements as possible. We value opportunities to bring our community together, and this year especially, we’ve learned not to take them for granted.”

The event will feature take home craft kits, candle-dipping, blacksmith demonstrations, and new outdoor exhibits. These activities will take place outside with social distancing and masks are encouraged. Shopping in the Museum Store also will be offered with social distancing, masks required and limited occupancy enforced. Restrooms will not be available.

All time slots for Santa Claus have already been reserved. A mailbox for letters to Santa will be accessible.
