Bur-Mil Park - Pickleball Social
Bur-Mil Park has no fewer than 14 pickleball courts that are free and open to the public. Rick Dodson, who is a certified PPR teaching professional, offers individual and group pickleball instruction. This is a very social sport, which pays tribute to its growing popularity.
Dodson said, "It’s a highly social sport. A lot of people join because they’re competitive and they like the intensity of the game. Several social groups form when they all sign up for lessons. They all exchange phone numbers and contact information. Most people play doubles on these courts which is fun and involves more people. People create times and days when they come out and play then go get lunch afterwards and chat about the game. Definitely highly social."
