Triad New Home Guide - Vol. 37 No. 2

TNHG - New Guide for Custom Homes

In 1986, Triad New Home Guide launched publication with the area's premier new home neighborhood, Adams Farm, featured on the cover. Adams Farm, at that time, was in the development stage and creating great buzz in the new home arena for its planned urban development (PUD) attributes which included walking trails, a pool complex, a playground and other amenities in addition to large open spaces for community enjoyment. Other such neighborhoods would follow with increasingly more spectacular amenities such as Lake Jeanette and Brookberry Farm. Indeed, the options for new homes in the ensuing 40 years has seen a phenomenal progression. Today we have many great national and regional builders in our market such as Mungo Homes, Pulte, Centex, Del Webb, and others and the emergence of excellent local builder groups such as Royal Homes and Nova Triad Homes. These builders build on scale and leverage that scale to bring exceptional value to the local new home buyer.

The Triad has also always had a very active and progressive custom home builder market. The strength, size, and creativity of our local custom home builder community is outsized for the size of our metropolitan area. For all the many advantages that national and regional homebuilders bring to the table, it’s the custom homebuilders that offer something volume builders cannot, which is total customization of a new home. For this reason, Triad New Home Guide has launched a special guide, Custom Home Source Book, to celebrate the custom build. It’s a celebration of the process of building a custom home and the builders who build them.

Custom Home Source Book is replete with favorite custom floorplans to feed your creative mind, in-depth interviews with custom builders themselves, lots and lots of beautiful pictures, and much more.
