The Location:

Lexington has recently been “newly discovered”. Many know Lexington as the home of the annual BBQ Festival but are not aware that Lexington has a vibrant downtown that evokes a sense of yesteryear. Small-town living is highly desirable for today’s home buyer and Lexington really delivers. Home of world-famous Lexington-style BBQ there are many renowned restaurants from which to choose including The BBQ Center, Lexington BBQ, Speedy Lohrs and many others. You can dine out at a different BBQ restaurant every night and be comfortable showing up in a tux or a tee shirt. For a more upscale adventure there are local and regional wineries as well including Childress Vineyards and Old HomePlace Vineyard. Old HomePlace Vineyard is a small lakeside winery that serves as an event center, as well as a great place to enjoy live entertainment on the weekends while enjoying the local wines they produce.

For the more active set, High Rock Lake is one of North Carolina’s largest lakes and offers boating, fishing, waterskiing, tubing, kayaking, pontoon boating, canoeing, sailing swimming and more. This local lake is an amazing amenity to have so close at hand for Kyndall Run residents.

More family fun times can be had at the Thom-a-Lex Lake where kayak rentals are available, or you can launch your own boat for a day of fun on the water. A lakeside park offers picnic shelters for a small rental fee if you want to plan a reunion or gathering and the kids will love the extravagant playground the park provides for enjoyment. Another local park is Boone’s Cave Park which gets its name from Daniel Boone who is thought to have made his home for a time in this area. The Yadkin River flows through the park making it a scenic place to picnic, hike, or just enjoy the great out-of-doors.

Big City Attractions:

The big cities of Winston-Salem and Greensboro are a quick stress-free commute for the residents of Kyndall Run offering opportunities for work and play. Winston-Salem’s Medical Facilities include Wake Forest Baptist and Novant. The acclaimed Innovation Quarter is located just off I-285 in Winston-Salem. Fun abounds with options from taking in a minor league baseball game with the Winston-Salem Dash to an evening of culture at the Milton Rhodes Cultural Center. And of course, the dining and shopping opportunities are numerous. An equally short drive to Greensboro offers its own version of minor league baseball with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, as well as a vibrant downtown arts scene anchored by the Tanger Performing Arts Center. Shopping at Greensboro’s Friendly Center or Winston-Salem’s Hanes Mall means lots of shopping and dining options for residents to choose from.
