Overview:

Welden Village is a planned community designed in the neo-traditional style the builder refers to as "the front porch style" of living. Neo-traditional styling is a design concept aimed at bringing the many advantages of small town living to an urban neighborhood, providing residents the best advantages of both. With an emphasis on sidewalks and front porches and a de-emphasis on cars, driveways, and garages, the neighborhood exudes a feel of yesteryear with front porches that interact with sidewalks, providing a connection with neighbors. Autos and driveways are tucked behind homes with alleyway access to the home settings provide an inviting opportunity for residents to create community.

The Village green, the hammock park, the doggie park, and the wonderful private pool and bathhouse complex create a sense of "home".

Today, Welden Village consists of three distinct neighborhoods:

Eastover Park:  This neighborhood was visioned in the classic neo-traditional style with single family homes featuring cutting edge designs, but with traditional touches such as large front porches and garages accessed via hidden alleyways. A Village Green and hammock park complete the vision and creates an extraordinary lifestyle experience for homeowners in this neighborhood.

Southgreen at Welden Village:  With 9 different and unique floorplans offered, these homes range from 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5 to 4 baths and range in size from 2,149 sq. ft. all the way up to 2,987 sq. ft. Distinctive styling and semi-customizable plans mean there is a plan to suit most any family's need.

Welden Ridge at Welden Village:  This community of twin homes provides a low-maintenance lifestyle without giving up any of the features homeowners seek in a traditional single family homes. Home plans range from 2-4 bedrooms and 2-3 baths with sizes ranging from 1,879 to 2,197 sq. ft. Two car garages with main level living and optional second floor bonus rooms - these plans are perfect for the young professional as well as the move-down buyer looking for a simpler lifestyle.

Welden Village is served by Caleb's Creek Elementary, Union Cross Elementary, Kernersville Elementary, Kernersville Middle school, Southeast Middle School, and Glenn High School. Bishop McGuiness Catholic High School is nearby.

The Welden Village lifestyle, however, is not solely defined by the unique crafting of the community ... there is more. In the true neo-traditional style, Welden Village will have commercial businesses within the community to serve neighbors without the need for them to leave their own neighborhood. The broader picture is even more appealing. Welden Village's location on the south side of Kernersville takes advantage of all that small town Kernersville has evolved to become. A state of the art Medical Center now calls Kernersville home. A variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping are available, yet Kernersville maintains its historic downtown area and small town appeal with a Farm Feed and Seed store, a wonderful Park (Triad Park) and attractions like the Paul Ciener Botanical Gardens. A short drive to the east or west however opens up a variety of business, recreational, and cultural opportunities.

Winston-Salem to the west was home to the nations first Arts Council and acknowledges that rich arts and culture heritage with a great number of cultural outlets for the arts lover. Wake Forest University calls Winston-Salem home and that means baseball, football, and basketball events are always on the calendar. Truist field is home to Winston-Salem's very own minor league team and Winston-Salem is home to the acclaimed INNOVATION QUARTER, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and much more.

To the east of Kernersville are Greensboro and PTIA Airport. Greensboro has a minor league baseball team of its own, offering games all summer long, and is home to the new Tanger Performing Arts Center, to keep your art desires and interests satisfied all winter.

Welden Village has the best of all worlds by virtue of its unique neo-traditonal design offering livability and convenience, yet it is centrally located allowing residents to benefit from the offering of three key cities: Kernersville, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem.
