It took Bonnie Cornwell less than a day to decide that Liberty Square would be her new home in Greensboro. In fact, it was the only community she visited when she drove down from Virginia to look over the new home market.

Bonnie is a professional interior designer who had lived in Fairfax for 40 years before deciding to retire and move to Greensboro to be near her two daughters. She arrived one morning, “and my daughter took me to Liberty Square. I looked no further. I loved it.”

She bought it on the spot and even selected the options before returning to Fairfax the same day. When she chose the amenities, such as custom woodwork, granite countertops, stone backsplash and granite and marble fireplace surrounds, ‘’I found they were standard. They would be ‘extras’ where I come from.”

There were only two buildings when Bonnie moved in so she watched the community develop with a total of 12 units today with two designs.  “I chose the Essex which has a covered lanai and walled terrace on the side.  It’s perfect for entertaining which I really enjoy.”

The vaulted ceilings and skylights add spaciousness and having two guest bedrooms on the opposite side of the house from the master bedroom adds a welcome privacy.

Bonnie found an unexpected bonus in the wonderful neighbors.  “This is a very caring community,” she says. ”We celebrate birthdays, holidays and other special occasions, and we also help one another by picking up a newspaper or bringing in the trash can when someone has left for work.”

Liberty Square is a Mark Scott Signature Home, a division of Keystone Homes, located on Cotswold Terrace just off Old Battleground Road. It adjoins Country Park with its maze of bike trails as well as the historic Guilford Courthouse Memorial Park where Cornwallis met Nathanael Greene in the Revolutionary War’s decisive battle. Avid fishermen find Lake Brandt a scenic retreat less than a mile away.

The community is a perfect choice for working couples who have little time for home maintenance as well as recent retirees who aim to travel the globe.

The advantages of living in a community where customer service is a priority are legion. Keystone Homes, which has been building homes in the Triad for more than 20 years, is a local company whose reputation has been established by a generation of satisfied homeowners.

The company received multiple awards during the recent Burlington Parade of Homes. Even more awards and accolades came from the Greensboro / Winston-Salem Parade of Homes.

Great prices for a variety of homes in exceptional communities have pushed Keystone to the forefront of the Piedmont’s winning builders. But like Bonnie Cornwall, you have to see it to appreciate the award-winning features of a Keystone home.  For sales, contact Melissa Cummings, at 336-451-4305 for an appointment and see for yourself during a tour of its model homes.

Exceptional quality. Unparalleled service. All built around an affordable price. These are the key attributes that Scott Wallace, Mark Michael and their top-notch staff have built into Keystone Homes. They are the driving forces behind the company’s success as one of the Triad’s premiere home builders. Keystone Homes is a local company with firm roots in the Triad. Scott, an engineer by trade, and Mark, a local builder with over 20 years experience, joined forces in 1996 to form Keystone Homes. They have sought out the finest local tradesmen, and you will see the quality workmanship in every home they build.

Scott and Mark have enjoyed award-winning success in providing a variety of housing designs that home buyers are proud to own. They have been presented with gold and silver awards by the Greensboro, and Winston-Salem Parade of Homes.
